Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth of July in Lubbock. We went to our ward's patriotic breakfast in the morning, had a relaxing afternoon at home watching the World Cup, had a BBQ dinner at a friend's house (Prze's home), lit off our our fireworks in the country that night and watched the whole horizon be filled with fireworks (awesome time to be living somewhere flat with no trees), and enjoyed the city's firework show the next day. I was not loving the idea of keeping Maggie up until 11 pm two nights in a row, but she loved the fireworks so much that it was worth it. She actually did great in nursery the next day.

Brooke, Bailey, Me, and Sam enjoying the fun BBQ.

Mike showing Maggie how to work a confetti popper.

Maggie is wearing boy's basketball shorts because we didn't realize that they were going to have a kiddie pool so it was either this or butt naked-which yes she was doing for a while, not by our choosing. She is quite to get those diapers off.

Sam is past out.

Enjoying her first solo experience with the sparkler.

The next night at the city's fireworks. They didn't even start shooting them off until 10, so these two munkins got so silly.

Sam was asleep in the carrier up until right before they started. He was so fascinated by them. I was a bit nervous that all the flashing might cause a seizure. He did fine though.
