Update

I post a lot about Maggie. Let's be honest, she is our whole life. But I thought I would give you an update on what is happening in Mike and I's life. Mike is busy with school (is that new though?). Right now he is studying diseases and drugs of the the respiratory system along with studying for Step 1 (his big test in June that determines our residency-no pressure). He goes out with the missionaries once a week and plays basketball twice a week. I have been keeping busy with life. I'm taking Maggie to play dates, making a quiet book for her Easter gift, keeping up with the house, and working on a new calling (number 4 for me-that is what you get when you live in a small ward). I do substitute about twice a month. Whenever I go, I come back so grateful that I have the privilege to stay at home with Maggie. That's our life. We have time here or there to play as a family, go to the temple, and have fun "at-home" dates (fondue night!). That's our life in a nutshell.

Meal Time

Maggie has wanted to feed herself now. Some days it works great. Other days not so much. But without fail, there is a mess.

One fun and crazy week in Forth Worth

The week after Christmas, Maggie and I drove to Forth Worth to help my mom watch the three boys while Josh and Kelli were baby mooning in Mexico. It was a crazy, but fun week. We went to the park several times, visited Forth Worth Zoo, played station rotation (a family classic), and celebrated McKay's birthday.

New Year's Eve at the Cabin

For New Year's Eve, we made a last minute trip up to the cabin. I have never wanted to go in the winter time because it would take 24 hours to heat up (though can we really say that 60 degrees is heated up). This year, the Matthews put in a furnace, meaning they can call the day before to turn it on!!Maggie, of course, loved it. We took Maggie sledding, snow mobile riding, and walking around the road. Yes, it was cold, but I will humbly admit that it was beautiful to have all the snow with the white aspen trees. Though I prefer to admire it through the huge windows, laying by the fireplace.
