It is sad to post the last photos of Oregon, especially since we are back to the hot, dry, dirt of west Texas. These photos will get me through the next six months until we can go back to Utah to be with Mike's family for Christmas.
We went camping and fishing at Detroit Lake. Mike had been waiting so long and working so hard to finally be able to enjoy this perfect trip. Fishing was good, boating was fun, great food, fun company, and breath taking scenery. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thanks Mom and Dad.
Every time we drive to the beach, we pass the Evergreen Aviation Museum and wonder if it is any good. Well, after how many year, we finally made it. It holds the world's largest wooden plane called the Bruce Spruce (
Aviation the movie is about it) along with a ton of other planes. Mike really enjoyed it. I chased Maggie around.
This plane is really similar to the one my Grandpa Johnson was on in WWII. This was especially special for my mom.
My mom watched Maggie overnight so we could go to the beach for our fifth anniversary. We spent more time looking up places where we wanted to eat than actually planning on what we wanted to do. It was relaxing to be at the beach and stay at the same place we went to for our honeymoon.
We came back to Maggie having the time of her life. Being at Grandma's house was a dream come true for her: big house to wander around, lots of toys, fun outdoors, and Lucy (my dog). She was pretty sad to leave.
