Maggie at fun

Maggie is all about having fun. She cannot get enough time outside. We went to the park the other evening and of course she found the puddles. She looks dry in this photo, but give it a few minutes and she was drenched with muddy water.

It's hard to tell in this photo, but our bath tub has been taken over with murals. I recommend bath crayons for any kids. She loves it.

Getting to be quite the character

Maggie is at such a fun age. She loves life and wants to enjoy every minute of it (that can also be hard because that usually involves me entertaining her all day). I love seeing her wrestle with Mike.

New addition to our house

We got a new addition to our family-turtle sandbox. Maggie is in heaven.

Fourth of July

This was our first year in Lubbock for Fourth of July. I have to say, they did not disappoint. We started the day off with the parade. Canby's parade consists of four wheelers with a bit of candy, so it is not crowded at all. In Lubbock, they go all out. I mean check out those pants next to me. Heads up Tommy, if we get your name for Christmas, you might want to expect something patriotic.

After the parade, we enjoyed some yummy Texas BBQ burritos.

We spent the evening with friends eating burgers and playing outside.

Maggie LOVED the watermelon. Did that watermelon fall into the dirt? Yes. Is she eating it? Yes. Do I mind? She has ate worst.

Sharing her dirt covered watermelon with her boyfriend.

Maggie is growing up so much. She loved running around with the older kids, throwing balls, going down the slide, and playing in the playhouse.

We ended the night with fireworks which Maggie mostly enjoyed.

The Last of Oregon

It is sad to post the last photos of Oregon, especially since we are back to the hot, dry, dirt of west Texas. These photos will get me through the next six months until we can go back to Utah to be with Mike's family for Christmas.

We went camping and fishing at Detroit Lake. Mike had been waiting so long and working so hard to finally be able to enjoy this perfect trip. Fishing was good, boating was fun, great food, fun company, and breath taking scenery. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Every time we drive to the beach, we pass the Evergreen Aviation Museum and wonder if it is any good. Well, after how many year, we finally made it. It holds the world's largest wooden plane called the Bruce Spruce (Aviation the movie is about it) along with a ton of other planes. Mike really enjoyed it. I chased Maggie around.

This plane is really similar to the one my Grandpa Johnson was on in WWII. This was especially special for my mom.

My mom watched Maggie overnight so we could go to the beach for our fifth anniversary. We spent more time looking up places where we wanted to eat than actually planning on what we wanted to do. It was relaxing to be at the beach and stay at the same place we went to for our honeymoon.

We came back to Maggie having the time of her life. Being at Grandma's house was a dream come true for her: big house to wander around, lots of toys, fun outdoors, and Lucy (my dog). She was pretty sad to leave.
